Creating experiences and memories to keep forever

Finding the right photographer can be daunting.

To help and ensure that I am a good fit for you and know exactly what you are looking for I offer complementary in person consultations during which we get to know each other and you can tell me exactly what you are looking for.

Hi! I am Mel,
the photographer at Broadstone Photography.

Photography has always been an important a part of my life. I remember my Dad gifting me my first little camera when I was about 10 years old back in Germany. That's when I developed my love for photography. Over the past few years I have lost loved ones that I held very close and also watch my little babies grow up. I cherish the portraits I have of them on my wall and wish to provide that same serenity to others. Each moment is precious, so capturing that time is invaluable.

Furthermore in todays world first impressions are still very important, however most of the time these first impressions are formed when someone views your online profile and/or website. So whether you are looking for a new career, new customers or new connections a professional headshot will help you give the best first impression online.

Who is Mel?

I was born and raised in Germany and moved to the United States in my mid twenties.
Since then I moved around and have lived in many different states.
I love my family, my husband, our 2 kids, a boy and a girl, and our little senior dog.

Although my mom lives about 4,229 miles away I talk to her almost daily.

I have always loved the outdoors and going hiking. I remember getting up super early with my grandpa when I was little to go out in the woods together to gather mushrooms. Such a fun experience. However, I am not a mushroom expert and would not attempt this by myself.

When time permits I also love to read. Most of the time you will catch me read mysteries or books in continuing education. Every now and then I will grab an autobiography as well.

At times when no one is around my kids and I will dance in the kitchen while the music is blasting.

I love people and I love taking pictures! And it probably is about time for me to clean up my photos on my phone again. I do take way to many of those too.
